We had a great time on our cruise & really enjoyed our day in Cozumel, Mexico. We did the power boat excurison which was totally fun ( although harrison drives a boat worse than a car & that can be a little terrifying)). Good times... but we really missed our girls...i just loved coming home to some sweet baby kisses...... harrison & I found some awesome conch shells on a little desserted beach we stopped at. ANyways......good times, good food, good sleep ( we go on a cruise & go to bed at 8pm, were catching up on 4 years of lost sleep!)

Our Family Dog Copper Pot Griffis & My girls Shelby & Reagan. As you can See Copper is HUGE! He puts his paws on my shoulders & he is taller than me!! His is a big playful baby. Blood Hounds are wonderful pets & very tempermental of kids. The only problem is they get really big & want to jump & play & clobber the girls. Little Reagan trys to let him out of his fence every little chance she gets, She got in the fence with him a few months ago, she came out luckily with just a slobbered up face & a few paw prints on her dress. My girls love there Copper.

I am a horrible blogger, I guess I feel as though the only thing I have to talk about is work, babies, chores, & I guess REALITY in general, so why bother! Well anyway..... We decided for Reagans 2nd B-day to do a trip to Disney World instead of a party (mainly because I was too tired to put the effort into planning a party)..... Little did I know Disney is much more of an EFFORT! But all in all the girls were pretty well behaved for a 8:30am - 6:30 pm disney adventure!

Oh by the way.........just because your kids like Mickey on TV does not mean they will love him as much when he is life size! Reagan was like "no way, get away, mickey is my size" she didnt like mickey in real life. other than that she loved it & shelby was just thrilled.

I am so over PUBLIC SPEAKING class! SO far I have had too give an impromtu or speech in EVERY SINGLE CLASS! I AM SO OVER IT! Did I forget to mention that I hate Public Speaking!!!!!!! Dont expect to hear from me in church, I will so sick of speaking by the time the class is over it may be a while!!! PEACE, LOVE, & HAIR GREASE! My teacher said his goal by the end of the semester is to make us comfortable with speaking & be sick of it! He is definitly succeeding with the sick of it part but he has a long way to go with the comfortable part!

I told POP POP Harry last night that I hoped he was having a lovely day & if he wasnt I would come up to that hospital & paint a big rainbow on his ceiling to brighten his DAY! I know, I am so looney, but I thought that was cute, I seen it somewhere! By the way I have a speech on thursday *& every day my stomache is churning more & more about it! Im so nervous!!!! However, I do think the class is making me become more vocal which may or may not be a good thing.! On another note, I love all of you for all your prayers for my dear father in law ( isnt he lovely??) I think he's one of the sweetest & giving men I have ever known, I like to think of him as one of my heros, like my own dad! Dont tell him that either because he will boo hoo (everyone knows how tender he is & will cry if something touches his heart). so shhhhh..

As everyone knows Harry is in the hospital fighting a serious staph infection that is in his bloodstream, as well as the life changing amputation of this foot that he's been fighting to heal for over a year. We had a really bad morning but the day improved as time went on. Harry is on several medicines to keep his blood pressure up & treat the staph infection in his bloodstream. The Doctors (who are a fabulous group of people) are watching him closely & keeping a close watch on his transplant kidney. One of the concerns with some antibodics used to treat MERSA is the effects they can have on kidney function. We are so blessed to have such wonderful caring family members & friends to help us through all of this. We feel the power of all of your prayers, SO KEEP IT UP. We love you all & appreciate all of you. We were also blessed to have a close family friend taking care of our Harry today as his nurse. Tonight Harry was feeling a little better, his blood pressure was good, & he even sat up to eat dinner & believe me every now and then he even cracks a joke ( Just like him to make light of any situation) thats why we love him so much. You've never known a more good hearted caring man. THanks again EVeryone for all of your LOVE!

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) are a type of staphylococcus or "staph" bacteria that are resistant to many antibiotics. Let me just tell you that I am not at all excited about the class I am taking at College right now.........PUBLIC SPEAKING 1110. Everyone knows I am a pretty outgoing girl but I DO NOT LIKE TO SPEAK out in front of anyone I do not know or groups of 5 or more.... I get like terrified!!! I remember my senior year of highschool senior project... I had to give a 5 minute speach and P.S. "IT WAS HORRIBLE!!" My knees were shaking , my hands, I felt like the words were stuck in my throat!.... Absolutely horrible!!! Lord knows I probably need the class due to my high anxiety levels when it comes to public speaking...I GUESS I WILL GET SOME PRACTICE since I have to give 4 Public Speaches throughout the semester...and several impormtu's ( Surprise Speaches!!). Soooo.. I am totally freaked out... THANKS! And YES the Class is required for my major...otherwise I would darn sure not take it!

So I got a call at work from Harrison..........He says " Shelby & I have been talking & we have come to the conclusion that we need a baby boy" ( YES Like ANOTHER BABY) I am thinking okay so I WILL drop by Wally World & pick up a boy baby doll, but no THEY WERE ACTUALLY TALKING ABOUT A NEW BABY, LIKE REAL, LIVE BABY! I was really not expecting that from Shelby due to the fact that she terrorizes her baby sister! I also was not expecting that from Harrison, because I just was not. I was thinking more along the lines of lets get fixed & adopt a kid thats already past the Terrible Horrible Tantrum THrees! I think I am just so confused! Baby or no Baby, that is the question???????? I dont think honestly my nerves can handle another!!! I only have enough mental capacity for 2!!! So tell me your thoughts & remember my mental capacity when you do! I am thinking NO! But I am also thinking I should get it all over with at once & not wait ( if I am going to do it), because once I am done with diapers I do not want to start over!

So we had a fun good time at My moms house with the girls. Shelbys learning to swim & its so fun to watch her do her little thing! I feel bad because I guess I didnt get enough sun block on little Ray & she is quite toasted! AFter they swam they had ice cream & they were so serious about it! It was like "Im eating my icecream! Back away!" They both drank the melted cream when they were done. I had to practically drag them away from GanMas They had so much fun they wanted to stay!All Reagan wanted to do was walk around the pool in circles & throw anything & everything in here way into the pool. I am so upset!! If you are wondering what that is in my trash can????? It is my Shelbys Beautiful Hair! She decided she would play beauty shop on herself with the kitchen scissors! I should have seen it coming when she cut her barbies hair off like Kens the other day with her saftey scissors! So I took her scissors away & thought I hid the rest, but not so much! Reagan was in her room crying because she fell so I went to check on her & upon my return Shelby had climbed onto the kitchen cabinet & got the scissors out of the knife block & went to town! My Parents( WHo started it ALL)

Little Fact for those of you who didnt know " I am from Charleston, SC" My daddy was born & raised in RockHill, SC & we lived there until I was 6 & then his job with the Government Brought us to the beautiful GOLDEN Isles as he was transfered to Kingsland, GA to the Kings Bay Naval Base. My Mother is from Brunswick, GA she was born in Jesup, GA & raised in Brunswick (Everett, GA for those of who who want to pick). My parents met on a blind date while my dad was here for some reason? I dont know all of the particulars, anyway they fell in love, got married & my daddy moved my mom & Emmy(my older sister from my moms 1st marriage) to Charleston, SC. Where ofcourse I was born (how FABULOUS) then CHelsey my baby sister(Chelsey was an accident, but saved my mothers life because mom had uteran cancer & didnt know it, upon delivering chelsey they discovered it when my moms uterus ruptured) SO chelsey despit her bratty tendencies is our family miracle! We go back to visit our family in SC often but couldnt be happier to live in the wonderful Brunswick, GA. We have all made great friends, had great times, & built lives of our own here. SO thats my little story for today.

WE Had another good day outside (it was hot as crap) If I ever move it will be somewhere where that if it is hot there is always a nice breeze (someone tell me where that is)!!!! Anyway Shelby had her first slip & slide experience today, she did really well. Fun STuff! I need to mention that I (YES ME) taught shelby how to slip & slide (not so great & I think I ripped some muscle in my tummy) Im too old for that crap! Our Day at Silver Springs

WE had a great Saturday at Silver Springs in Ocala, FL. Me, Harrison, Shelby, Reagan, Gigi, Harry, Emmy, My Mom & Dad, & Billy (Harrisons Friend, who could be our NAnny!) We really enljoyed our day it was very nice outside & breezy. The glass bottom boats were amazing the pictures in this post were taken looking down through the glass in the bottom of the boats, you can actually see down like 50 feet to the bottom of the river IT IS CRYSTAL CLEAR! It was amazing! I really enjoyed spending time with my whole family! Harrison & I love to take off for the weekend with our girls, I wish Gas was not so expensive & we would do it alot more.

So SHelby begged & begged & begged to stay with her Auntie Emmy last night! After repeated attempts to talk her out of it knowing that she does not do to well away from home, I gave up & let her go. She was determined that she was going anyway, She asked my sister did she have a pullup for her to sleep in & did she have a carseat to take her home in. She had pretty much decided she was going regardless of what I thought about it. SO I let her go about 8:30, I called at 9:30 to check on her, She was fine watching the AUnt Movie & about to go NIte Nite, So i was like I guess she will be OK & went to bed. I was awakened by the ringing of the phone around 12:30 & it was my sister calling to say " I am on the way to your house with SHelby, she flipped out & wants her mommy!" SO as usual I was right & shelby will not EVer talk me into a weeknight adventure away from home. By the way this morning she was in rare form after having went to bed around 1am this morning. KIDS, I tell ya! Note to FAMILY MEMBERS "If you take the kid home with you, You are not WAking me up to bring her home, next time she will have to learn her lesson about staying the night away & STAY!!!!!!"

A Day at the Beach

We had a blast on our trip to the beach this past weekend, participants in this event were me, Harrison, Shella, Ray Ray, Jor Jor, Trav & Jenn(Jor Jors Cousin) & Chopper ( Travs Dog). The girls had a blast, Ray loved the sand but not the water & Shella stayed knee deep jumping waves with her aunt Jor Jor almost the entire time! It was lots of fun & much more relaxing than I expected. THe breeze was perfect & the temperture JUST RIGHT! I am excited to spend many more beach days with my babies.

My baby sister Chelsey is graduating on Saturday May 10th with her Bachelors in Business Administration from GA Southern University. I am so proud of her for acheivments & hard work, she has maintained Deans List status for the past 3 semesters. I had to share the good news with all of my family & friends. She has been offered a great job but has not decided on whether or not to continue her education & get her masters or work for a bit.

Sooo remember my FENDI blog I found a picture I took of that dress that was outragelously priced & not so cute emough to pay $5000 for & so I had to share it with you all! 2nd thing is I redecorated the girls bathroom & I am so super excited I had to share that with you , & I welcome your compliments on my fabulous decorating skills. Everything in the bathroom is from the wonderful IKEA( if youve never been you must find the store nearest you & GO) but warning take a truck & your credit card! I choose shopping at IKEA any day over the FENDI store! I could so be a marketing consultant for IKEA, DOnt you think? Ok so the art work on the walls of the bathroom are in IKEA frames, I took scrap book paper & backed Shelbys art & framed it, I know that was a great idea~ So let me know what you think.

While we were on vacation last weekend when we were shopping I found some super cute shoes.
The way cute gold shoes I was wearing in the picture below (the pic that I obviously did not want taken), I got them on sale & they were so comfy at the time I tried them on.....Well Comfy for a little bit, but not through a game of 18 holes of putt putt golf!

SO this picture is after putt putt I walked like a mile back to the hotel bare footed with what felt like tiny pins sticking in the botton of my feet.
Lessoned learned on that note, never again will I try to look cute for golf, we will do sneakers next time! By the way yes I was a little over dressed for putt putt but we also went out to dinner afterwards & yes I was wearing the 80s tights totally not my idea but I must admit I thought they were pretty sassy!

2 girls 2 Ear infections

So our house is a little gloomy, both of the girls have double ear infections. Poor Ray Ray just cant be made happy for more than 10 seconds & its been a while since I seen Shelby so pitiful. Shelby cried & cried this afternoon, I finally coaxed her into some motrin with a threat of going back to the doctor, she was at least tolerable after the medicine kicked in! Thank the lord for MOTRIN! Soooo we are in for a few nights of No sleep, but hey who needs to sleep??? I hate to see the girls sick it is soooo sad, I just wish I could take there pain away.

Harrison & I had a great weekend in Orlando with our best friends Perry & Katherine who are married. THe girls shopped, the boys fished & we had a blast. I just wanna talk a minute about the designer FENDI, they had a FENDI outlet in orlando, we walked in to browse & check it out, I thought I was going to have heart failure when I picked up a dress & the tag said like $5000 BIg oNEs!!! WOW, Needless to say I walked right out of there that price tag made me sick to my stomache, I hate to even spend more than $40.00 on a dress!!!!!! We played Put Put Golf last night & had dinner at TGI Fridays, FUN STUFF! Im glad we took a little get away!

So sorry for my long span without a blog, my life is boring what can I say! I work, work, work , and tend to my girls, and cook, clean & blah blah blah.... THats about the just of it all & believe me thats about all I can handle. No complaints though I am lucky to have a comptetive job & wonderful pair of girls to lOVE... Sooo Pictured above is what we like to call the UGGY FACES, this all started because Ray likes to wrinkle her nose & distort her face into what can only be be described as so ugly its cute & shelby has to do everything Ray does as Ray does likewise to shelby! Soooo we love to see them do this face because its like I said its so ugggyy its CUTE! Sooo I will be the BIG 25 on FRIDAY ( Does this officially mean I am getting old?) I do feel old my back is so crunchy & crackley ( it couldnt be from carrying around 2 kids around all the time, no way) My hair is yes GREY! Yeah I said GREY!!!! That is what really stresses me out, I think I stress about that so much It makes my hair grow in more grey! I dont know, I just know thank you lORD for Hair COLOR!

Sooo my girls went to bed unusually early tonight and it is so quiet we dont know what to do with ourselves. Our usual routine doesnt end until close to 9pm, but my mom had the girls bathed & fed when I picked them up at 5:30 After work & Shelby fell asleep in the car on the way home & Ray passed out around 7:30 on the couch with me. I must say its nice to have a quiet evening every now & again! I have been relaxing & watching TLC & HGTV I love those home shows, one day mabye I will try some of the stuff I see (yeah right who has time for that with kids)! SOooo thats all FOLKS, I know I was not very interesting or entertaining tonight "I do apologize". Mabye I will be better tomorro! Peace OUT, Sweet Dreams! I guess I will be in bed by 9pm WOW! This is JerkFace Jordan! Despite the ugly nickname along with many other interesting things we call one another, I love this chick very much! Jordan is a very special person (if you know what I mean!) LOL, just kidding, she is very dear to me & over time we have became like real sisters we spend alot of time together & enjoy each others company. I must admit Jordan has a sweet spirit & brings alot of joy & spirit to our family! I love you JERK!
THis is my youngest sister Chelsey, she is the brattiest of the 3 of us, but we love her dearly! SHe is my moms professional girl, she is extremely high maitnence & the cutest of us all! CHelsey is also the clown, she can really make you laugh, or cry because she can stress you out ALOT! We love our Chelsey!
THis is EMMY my oldest SIster! She is the sweetest, kindest, & most nieve of us all! Everyone loves Emmy, she has a sweet spirit, believes anything you tell her, & would give you the shirt off of her back. Emmy is every salesman favorite customer, because you can always sell her the idea, no matter how unrealistic. I think she is to sweet to say no. Emmy always looks for a the positive in a person, despite there faults. She is the least trouble of the 3 of us (so my mom says).

Reagan thinks it is fun to hide in the kitchen cabinet. THis is a new thing she just started today, it was too cute. She was laughing so loud & trying to shut the door so I couldnt see her. GOSH i love these youngins (as SHelby would say). I got on the treadmill this evening & Harrison took the girls on a golf cart ride. When he came back they were both sound asleep beside him on the golf cart (wish I had got a picture of that). WHat would we all do without the entertainment of little ones, they can say & do some of the cutest darn things....

I did not blog yesterday because I was just BLAH, I hate it when I feel like BLAH! I think I need my dose of daily crazy medicine increased! Work has been soooo cruddy these days, I have so much too do & it just keeps coming! Anyway lets not talk about WORK that was why I was like BLAH yesterday! I wanted to share with you some of the people I love dearly & why they are so absolutely fabulous(yes I do love that word) & why I love them dearly! SOOOOOOO here we go:

1st: My Beautiful Parents, who brought my dear little self into the world & have loved me unconditionally despite my faults. I love my Momma & Daddy too much, they have raised me right (although I sometimes did not do as they said, & yes they were always right) I know exactly what they meant when they said " You will never understand how much we love you until you have kids of your own". I am a lucky girl too have such great parents who have been married for almost 27 years! Yeeeahhhh!

Next: My Family (Harrison, Shelby, & Reagan)

I cannot even descibe how thankful I am for my little family, My husband is my best friend & my girls are my life. Each have taught me so much about LIFE, Love, & SHARING! I love them all soooo stinkin much!

As you all know GIGi is great! She loves me & my little jerky sister in law Jordan like her own children! This is Saturday October 11th 2005 THE BEST DAY OF CHRISTONS FABULOUS LIFE! The day Harrison & I were married & I was blessed with the best husband, family, & friends a girl could ever ask for......yes get out your tissues I am talking about all of you!!! I cannot express how thankful I am to have married into such a wonderful close knit family......Harrison & I are best friends, we have a very special marriage (let me just tell you it takes alot to put up with that hard headed thing!!!) But i wouldnt trade my Harrison for all of the Brad Pitts in the world. I guess that means its true love! I love my husband, all of his absolutely wonderful family, & friends. Saturday morning begins at 6:30 with about 30 minutes of sweet nothings & cuddling. We have some awesome fun times away from what we like to sometimes call HELL....LOL just kidding(im sure that place is much worse than work.)

I need a vacation

Sometimes I feel like I could just be a happy little housewife, I get more aggravated at work than I do my 2 babies! I think I need a vacation, I would love nothing better than to get away from the computer, fax, phone, calculater, & file cabinet more than anything at this point!!!!!! I think I need to take a couple of meditation breaks throughout the day, U think they would allow that???? Uhhh, negative! Anyway, I had to vent for a moment..... I do love the ladies I work with! Sooooo, We are going to Sea World next weekend with the kids & in laws, it will be good times for me...I wish it was a week not just a weekend!

The recent tragedy of losing Laura Kirkland made me realize just how lucky I am too be happy & healthy! My heart is still aching for all of the Kirkland family, whom are truley dear to my heart....I wish I could take away the pain but truth is, alot of lives have been changed forever & it will take along while to heal from this loss....just take comfort in the thought of being together again oneday & know Laura is in a better place with our heavenly father. I just want to hold everyone I love & never let them go knowing that we never know when our last moment may be....Make the most of every moment in this life until the next.
